Check-in/Checkout

We invite guests to check in any time after 4:00 PM on day of arrival; the checkout time is by 11:00 AM on day of departure. If you arrive at the resort early, our bell team can assist you with luggage stowage while you enjoy the variety of things to do at our oceanfront Maine resort until your room is ready. When you arrive to Cliff House, guests have access to complimentary self-parking. May through October, our valet services are available for $25 per night. 

Guests must be 21 years of age, unless accompanied by an adult, to check into the resort.

Resort Fee

Cliff House Maine offers a comprehensive selection of luxury, inclusive benefits through a daily fee of just $38 per room, per night. This fee provides unlimited use of our Maine Stations and the included provisions (coffee, tea + water selection, farm fresh milk and fresh whole fruit), choice of daily newspapers (accessible through our PressReader mobile application - choose to access thousands of world-wide publications on your phone or tablet), access to our 24-hour fitness center, easy-access Wi-Fi throughout the resort, live music, daily complimentary self-parking, curated art installations and exhibits, sculpture garden and beautifully manicured lawns, pathways and gardens located throughout our 70-acre resort, access to Overlook Terrace fire pit, movies in Hartwig Theatre, Discovery Center, seasonal entertainment and wellness programming. This also includes the use of our Indoor Lap Pool (all ages, open year-round), outdoor heated hot tub (open year-round, ages 13+ year-round), outdoor Resort Pool, now open year-round with the exception of annual maintenance (ages 13+ only June through early September (exact dates vary annually)) and outdoor Cove family pool + hot tub (all ages. open during summer months only), plus lawn games (in warmer months). Please note: outdoor water activities are weather dependent.

Cancellations

Reservations cancelled fewer than 21 days prior to arrival will be subject to a cancellation fee equal to the deposit made at booking. 

Payment

A deposit of 50% will be due at the time of booking. Upon arrival, an authorization will be placed on your credit card for the full value of your room and tax charge plus incidentals. Guests must have valid identification to check in. 

Pets

Cliff House does not allow pets. Our Concierge team can suggest nearby pet care.

Pools

Cliff House offers three pools + two hot tubs for resort guests only. Pools: The Resort Pool open year-round with the exception of annual maintenance (Note: in summer months this pool is for guests' ages 13 years+ only), Indoor Lap Pool (year-round, all ages), Cove Pool (all-ages. accessible in summer only). Outdoor Hot Tubs: Resort Hot Tub (open year-round, guest's age 13+ year-round), Cove Hot Tub (summer only, all ages). Please note: outdoor recreation is weather dependent.

Smoking

Cliff House Maine is a non-smoking property. No smoking is allowed within 20 feet of a building entrance, inside guest rooms, on guest room balconies, pool decks, or other indoor/outdoor public areas. This includes but is not limited to; cigarettes, vaping, and marijuana. Any guest found to be smoking in a non-smoking area will be subject to a smoking fee when applicable. 

Drones

Please note, the flying of drones is prohibited at Cliff House Maine (including the immediate offshore area).

Alcohol Policy: For guest safety, Cliff House prohibits bringing private alcohol onto property. Please inquire with your server for options for alcohol service at the pools and hot tubs provided by Nubb’s Lobster Shack and The Cove Bar & Grille.
