The Local Arts Community

As a member of the Ogunquit Community, we fully support our flourishing arts community. We have a fully curated art exhibit on property that is swapped out seasonally and supports local artists and museums. Cliff House also supports the following local arts and culture organizations. The Ogunquit Museum of American Art’s intimate space has the feeling of a gallery, but you’ll find 1,600 pieces on view. At the Heritage Museum, step inside an 18th-century home and explore historic artifacts that cover all aspects of the city’s fishing and artistic culture. Famous for its summer theater and Broadway-worthy shows, the Ogunquit Playhouse is set in a 1933 garage. The Levitt Fine Arts Theatre offers both live performances and movies, with a weekly silent film series set to a live score.

Art in Giving

Cliff House Maine is proud to partner with Art in Giving as a sustainable community initiative to make the world a better place for children. Art in Giving is dedicated to raising funds for cancer research while combining the creativity and generosity of prominent artists with talented cancer researchers and scientists, doing so without compromising other philanthropies. The year-round, everchanging exhibits located here at Cliff House are presented for guests to enjoy. This exhibit not only generates awareness for these artists while supporting a great cause but allows guests to purchase and take home the pieces that they fall in love with.

The Environment

The Environment is of critical importance to us here at Cliff House. We support the environment with our Plant a Tree Program in partnership with One Tree Planted. As an amenity for our suite guests, we plant a tree in your honor, with One Tree Planted planting one as well. Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity. Forests also provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicines.

Local Charitable Support

We continue to support our local community through donations to over 120 hyper-local organizations including the York Chamber of Commerce, local hospitals, schools and civic organizations.

Local Bald Head Community Engagement and Events

Cliff House hosts and supports events throughout the year to encourage and maintain community involvement and engagement. These events include Fourth of July Fireworks, Christmas Events with Santa, Food Banks, Egg Hunts for Easter, Events for Seniors, First Responders and more.

Wellness Programming

In addition to a robust wellness focus for our guests, Cliff House hosts several wellness focused neighborhood events including our annual Turkey Trot, 10ks, yoga events and more. We strive to promote a healthy and connected local community.

Pelotonia for Cancer Research

Each year our Cliff House Team participates in Pelotonia. Founded in 2008, Pelotonia was established with the objective to fund life-saving cancer research. Pelotonia is a three-day experience that includes a weekend of cycling, entertainment, and volunteerism. Through its first eleven rides, Pelotonia raised more than $207 million for cancer research.
